Vibro Shape is a belt that vibrates and can be used on any part of your body that you want to slim. The product’s designers claim that users can lose fat and inches by wrapping the belt around a body part and plugging it in. However, research shows that the product includes cheaply made materials that do little more than act as an uncomfortable massager.
Our research team has discovered that the belt doesn’t offer the benefits that it claims, as it doesn’t help with muscle tone or weight loss. Through trials and observations, we have attempted to determine if the product provides any significant health advantages. The results of our research are listed here to help you decide if this product is worth buying.
What is Vibro Shape?
Vibro Shape is a “professional vibrating belt” that helps tone muscles in areas such as the abdominals, buttocks, thighs, shoulders, and calves, according to the product description. This fitness belt is claimed to break down fat cells, improve blood circulation, and increase muscle strength. It fits waists ranging from 24 to 55 inches. It has five low-power and five high-power setting options. It comes with a remote for ease of use. You strap it on and use it for 10 minutes each day.
We are not sure when the Vibro Shape was first released. This fitness device is easy to travel with, and it can be used by women and men alike. We found it listed for sale at Walmart, but it is no longer available. We like how easy it is to use and we’ll cover the science behind whether or not a vibrating belt works to reduce waist size, but first we want to talk about other possible benefits and uses.
- Medicine– Research has shown that vibrating belts worn around the waist may reduce lower back pain.
- Osteoporosis International – a 2011 study showed vibration exercise was effective at reducing bone loss in simulated microgravity (space simulation).

Poor Product Quality – “A Concern?”
One of the first things we came across was reports of poor quality. “We found all sorts of customer complaints about the Vibro Shape belt. Naturally, this is concerning, because a workout product is not going to give you good results if it doesn’t actually keep working,” says our Research Editor.
According to one user, “Was not at all great as it broke the first time it was used, had returned it, but have not received any word from the company yet.”
“The second week the belt breaks, unfortunately,” said another customer. Yet another person said, “It ripped very quickly and now can’t use it!”
Though reviews are few and far between, we did find that some felt they made a good purchase.
“I’m so happy with my purchase,” said one buyer.

User Complaints – “Not Happy?”
You will find a few customer complaints posted online regarding Vibro Shape. One person stated, “Okay, this thing is worthless. It does nothing!
Another user said, “Better off just exercising your abs. This belt is not helpful.
Complaints were not an issue for all buyers.
One said, “It really gave me the workout, I need without the hassle of going to the gym or working out at home.”
According to our research, if there is some specific part of a fitness program or product that is very bothersome (a painful/difficult exercise routine, low quality, too many user complaints), the chances of real success for the long term are not good. In other words, if Vibro Shape does lead to a lot of user problems, this could be a deal-breaker.
The Science – “Is There Any Evidence?”
Some research shows total body vibration can be as effective as a traditional workout. One study published in PLoS One found whole-body vibration training can help obese women lose weight. Another study published in PLoS One found that pairing whole-body vibration training with exercise significantly increased the “metabolic cost of exercise.”
However, the studies were not completed on the Vibro Belt, and they involved more than just the abdominals. We at DietSupplement prefer to see published scientific tests that support the fitness product we are investigating. Unfortunately, that wasn’t available this time.
What Users Are Saying
“I got this item to aid weight loss/issue with lower back, it does help with both if you’re moving muscles either by vibration or exercise. It’s going to burn calories but if you’re eating 3000 calories a day and only burning 2500 a day then no it won’t work stands to reason.”
“This belt is best for relieving fatigue and stretching. It also fights cellulite but I can’t say anything about weight loss or shape change.”
“Not great for losing weight – but great for aches and circulation. Would recommend overall.”
The Bottom Line – Does Vibro Shape Work?
Now the moment you’ve been waiting for: our bottom line on Vibro Shape. Well, we appreciate that the belt can be used by both women and men and it’s compact so it can be taken anywhere. Then again, we have some issues with this fitness device because it’s not backed by any actual scientific studies. Moreover, we’re definitely concerned about the poor product quality and customer complaints.
If you really want to build lean muscle mass, improve tone and enhance your overall workout, we encourage you to go with a program that helps keep you on track and moving.
Among the best programs we have seen so far this year is one called Noom. It’s amazing that the app comes as a personalized weight-loss program with an extensive food database, human coaching, food logging, exercise tracking and more.
We also love that the makers of Noom are offering a free trial offer for Dietsupplement readers.
